As things are heating up in the country and around the world, I cooled off with a Starbucks. On day 6 of my Florida trip, I again stayed home to complete my online school, but took a break in the middle of the day to stroll around Mizner Park. Mizner park is a shopping and apartment area in Boca Raton packed with cute shops and restaurants. There were so few people out and almost all of the stores were closed. A few restaurants were take-out only, though. It is sad to see the effect that global issues have on a small scale. The last time that I was here in Florida, just three months ago, I walked around Mizner Park and every restaurant was packed. There was live music playing and people out walking and enjoying themselves. It is bizarre to see a place that is always bursting with life become a ghost town. At the end of the day, I stopped by Souvlaki Fast, a Greek resturaunt that I love in Florida, to get my gyro pita.Yum!
